Android version of video generation AI app 'Sora' now available

OpenAI released the Android version of its video generation AI app 'Sora' on November 5, 2025. It can be downloaded from Japan and allows users to generate videos and view videos created by users around the world.

Sora is an app that can generate videos from text using the high-quality video generation AI ' Sora 2. ' The Android version of Sora has been released for Japan, the United States, Canada, South Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, and Vietnam, and can be downloaded from the links below.

Sora also has a feature called 'Cameo' that allows other users to appear in your videos.

It also has a feature to follow users and a remix function that allows you to create new videos based on videos generated by other users.

One issue with Sora 2 is that it makes it easy to create videos that include existing characters like Mario and Pikachu . The use of characters by Sora 2 has become a major issue in the content industry, and on October 27, 2025, the Content Overseas Distribution Association (CODA) submitted a request to OpenAI asking them to stop training and take serious action.
