'Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold' Photo Review: Approximately 20g lighter and thinner, with a less noticeable fold.
Google released the Pixel 11 series on August 20, 2026. The foldable smartphone, the ' Pixel 11 Pro Fold ,' was also newly released, so I immediately unboxed it and took tons of photos of its improved appearance.
Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold: Thinner, lighter, and 3 times stronger.
The outer box of the Pixel 11 Pro Fold. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold comes in two colors: a greenish 'Olive' and a dark 'Obsidian,' and the one we'll be using is Olive.
To open the box, peel off the seal located on the bottom of the back.
I removed the inner box by sliding it out.
This is what it looks like when you open the lid of the inner box.
The package contains three items: the Pixel 11 Pro Fold itself, a USB-C cable, and instruction manuals.

I removed the cover from my Pixel 11 Pro Fold. Below is the inside display when unfolded. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold's inside display is an 8-inch (204mm) Super Actua Flex display, the same size as the previous model, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
The back view when unfolded.
When unfolded, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold measures 155.2mm (height) x 150.4mm (width) x 5mm (depth). Here's a comparison with a transit IC card.
The actual weight was 240g. Compared to the Pixel 11 (197g) and Pixel 11 Pro (204g), it's heavier, but perhaps because of the contrast with its appearance, it feels 'light' when you actually hold it. It's about 20g lighter than the previous model, the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
At the bottom, there is a USB-C port (left) and a SIM card slot (right).
The power button and volume buttons are located on the back, on the side with the camera.
There is nothing on the opposite side.
The top looks like this.
The rear camera system is a high-performance triple rear camera system combining a 48-megapixel wide-angle camera, a 10.5-megapixel ultrawide camera (with macro focus), and a 10.8-megapixel 5x telephoto lens camera. For video, it supports 4K video recording, 1080p video recording, dual exposure correction, and up to 20x digital zoom. The white area in the upper left of the camera system is 'HiLight,' a new feature introduced in the Pixel 11 Pro series, which indicates when Gemini is responding and notifies you of pre-configured notifications with a specified LED color.
The image below shows the front camera when the device is folded; it's a 10-megapixel Dual PD selfie camera.
The inner camera located in the upper right corner when the phone is open is also a 10-megapixel Dual PD camera.
Let's try folding the Pixel 11 Pro Fold from the left and right.
When folded, it measures 155.2mm in height, 76mm in width, and 10.1mm in thickness. Compared to the previous model, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, the folded width is 0.3mm smaller and the thickness is 0.7mm thinner. Also, the display size of the Pixel 11 Pro Fold is 6.5 inches (164 mm) Super Actua display, which is slightly larger than the Pixel 10 Pro Fold's 6.4 inches (162 mm) Actua display.
The back view when folded.
When folded, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold is 10.1mm thick, excluding the camera bump. This is bulkier than the Pixel 11 (8.6mm), Pixel 11 Pro (8.4mm), and Pixel 11 Pro XL (8.5mm). In actual use, it feels like a smartphone with a thick case, and it's perfectly fine to hold it with one hand and operate it with the other.
I'll try turning it on by pressing the power button.
The screen after initial setup looks like this. When folded, the display has a resolution of 1080 x 2342, a refresh rate of 1-120Hz, a maximum brightness of 2000 nits (HDR), and a peak brightness of 3600 nits. The contrast ratio is 2,000,000:1.
When opened, it looks like this: The inner display has a resolution of 2076 x 2152, a refresh rate of 1-120Hz, a maximum brightness of over 2000 nits (HDR), a peak brightness of 3600 nits, and a contrast ratio of 1,500,000:1. Compared to the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, the resolution and refresh rate are the same, but the screen brightness has improved by 20%, from a maximum brightness of 1800 nits to a peak brightness of 3000 nits.
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold uses a new 'durable glass-ceramic cover glass,' which is said to be strong even after repeated folding, and the hinge is less noticeable when the screen is open.
You can see it actually opening and closing in the following video.
