Kevin McGahn, interim CEO of Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), which operates Truth Social, told news site Axios that they plan to launch a backend interface that will allow news organizations and financial institutions to access Truth Social's real-time data.
According to McGahn, the 'Truth API' provides real-time access to posts from 10 particularly influential accounts on the platform, including President Trump, the White House, FBI Director Kash Patel, White House Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino, and Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert Kennedy Jr.
The API will be offered as a paid service, and the number of eligible accounts will be expanded to include customers willing to pay additional fees. McGahn says several customers have already signed up.
For example, even after being re-elected president, Trump continues to use it as a platform to express his opinions, sometimes posting information that could influence the market before others, such as 'Apple has agreed to jointly manufacture chips with Intel.' Therefore, there appears to be a certain level of demand for obtaining such information quickly, even if it is paid. However, neither Apple nor Intel has issued a comment regarding the aforementioned agreement, so the veracity of the information itself remains unknown.

McGahn revealed that some companies are scraping Truth Social in violation of the terms of service and providing information to institutional investors, and stated that 'we plan to put up a big barrier for companies that do not have direct access,' indicating a policy of not tolerating scraping. He also explained that the licensed API is far faster than scraping.
The API usage fees are not disclosed.
Furthermore, Virginia Cantor, an attorney for the Democracy Defenders Fund , a non-profit organization critical of the Trump administration, told CNBC, 'The president has an obligation to communicate information publicly to the American people, but what Trump is doing now is leaking information through personal channels in which he has a vested interest as one of the largest shareholders. This is a serious conflict of interest. Truth Social has effectively become the president's press office.'
