Technology media outlet Windows Central has reported that it has obtained information from a Microsoft source that 'Microsoft has ended production of the Surface Hub 3 and has canceled all plans to sell the next-generation Surface Hub 4.'
Although production of the Surface Hub 3 has ended, Microsoft and third-party retailers still have stock available, so sales are expected to continue for some time. The Surface Hub was originally a device sold to corporate customers and is a large touchscreen device designed for use in conference rooms. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, with the rise of video conferencing, many companies purchased multiple units at once.
The Surface Hub came in two sizes, 50 inches and 85 inches, with the 50-inch model starting at $8,000 (approximately 1.3 million yen) and the 85-inch model starting at $20,000 (approximately 3.2 million yen). A unique feature of the Surface Hub is that the display and processing unit are separate, allowing users to upgrade the device without replacing the display.

The Surface Hub 3 will receive OS and firmware updates until the end of 2030. Therefore, the Surface Hub 3 will not become unusable anytime soon.
In 2023, Surface discontinued sales of devices such as the dual-screen smartphone Surface Duo, the 32-inch Surface Studio AiO, and the 14-inch Surface Laptop Studio.
