The 'Galaxy Z TriFold' is neither of those, and was released in South Korea on December 12, 2025, as the first 'tri-fold' device.

Samsung has announced the 'Galaxy Z TriFold,' a tri-fold smartphone with a maximum 10-inch display, priced at approximately 380,000 yen, making it an ultra-premium model - GIGAZINE

The display is 6.5 inches when folded and can reach 10 inches when fully extended.

Moreover, it's an incredibly thin device with a thickness of only 3.9mm per display, yet it boasts a powerful 5600mAh battery.

Bloomberg, citing a Samsung spokesperson, reported that the company plans to end sales in the South Korean market first, and then, once inventory is cleared, end its operations in the United States as well. Initially, there were plans to launch the product in markets such as China, Taiwan, Singapore, and the UAE, but ultimately, the launch was limited to South Korea and the United States.

Samsung's official website had listed the TriFold as 'sold out' for some time, and since there were no plans for restocking, it was speculated that it might be discontinued.

While it may still be available for purchase at some stores in the US, as mentioned earlier, there are no further plans for this product, so it is expected to be sold only while supplies last in the US as well.
