The short animation was shown exclusively at the venue of the ' EVANGELION:30+; ' festival, which was held from February 21st to 23rd, 2026, to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the 'Evangelion' series. The film begins with the 'W Langley' duo of Soryu Asuka Langley and Shikinami Asuka Langley appearing and performing a stand-up comedy routine at the Hakone Yumoto Engeijo Theater, creating a truly bizarre experience.
It was announced on the final day of the event that the video would be 'delivered in some form,' and since March 8, 2021 marks exactly five years since the release of 'Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time,' it has now been decided that the video will be released on YouTube on March 8, 2026.
Regarding this video, the footage was secretly filmed on location and posted on social media, so Khara, the production company of 'Evangelion,' took action to delete it. However, due to X's specifications, the information provided in the deletion request to prove that the footage was copyrighted by Khara was disclosed to the account that had posted the secretly filmed footage. This led to the worst possible outcome, as the person who filmed the footage gained access to internal company data, downloaded the data, and posted it on social media on March 7th.
