◆2: Conduct benchmark tests
We conducted several benchmark tests to explore the performance of the Phone (3a) Lite. The Phone (3a) Lite has a feature called 'Game Mode' that maximizes performance, so we performed the tests while switching Game Mode on and off.

Below are the Geekbench 6 test results with Game Mode disabled. The single-core score was 1009 and the multi-core score was 2992. This is less than half the score of the high-end

iPhone (3) released in 2025.

With game mode enabled, the single-core score was 1014 and the multi-core score was 294. Game mode doesn't seem to have much of an effect on Geekbench.

I manually enabled Game Mode in Geekbench, but it was automatically enabled on first boot in AnTuTu benchmark.

After disabling game mode, the test results were as follows: The overall score was 865,896.

Enabling Game Mode increased the overall score to 912,882. Looking at the results by category, we can see that scores for CPU, GPU, memory, and UX all increased. Game Mode can have a significant effect on some apps.

◆3: Verify battery performance
To measure the battery life of the iPhone (3a) Lite, we started with a fully charged device and played

a YouTube video continuously until the battery ran out.

The measurements were taken by automatically taking a photo of the screen every minute and determining that the battery was dead when the screen went off. The device was connected to the internet via Wi-Fi and the screen brightness was set to maximum.

The power went out after 15 hours and 9 minutes of video playback, which shows that the battery lasts quite a long time.

Next, we measured the time it took to fully charge the battery from a dead state. We used

an Anker Nano Charger (70W, 3 Ports) and the cable that came with the Phone (3a) Lite.

The iPhone (3a) Lite can be charged at up to 33W. When charging with an Anker Nano Charger (70W, 3 Ports), the message 'Fast charging' was displayed on the lock screen.

The graph below shows the remaining battery level recorded every 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, the phone reached 18% charge, 59% in 30 minutes, and 99% in 60 minutes. While the iPhone (3a) Lite's processing power is low, its long battery life and fast charging speed make it comfortable to use unless you're using games or other intensive apps.

◆4: Change the lock screen
By default, the background image of the lock screen of the Phone (3a) Lite is set to change randomly. Also, a short message that changes depending on the background image is displayed at the bottom of the screen.

When you tap on the short text, columns and advertisements related to the background image will be displayed, as shown below. However, the text of the columns is written in unnatural Japanese that seems to have been machine-translated, and has little informational value. Frankly, this is a nuisance, so here are the steps to disable it.

First, tap 'Lock Glimpse' in the lock screen settings of the Settings app.

Tap the toggle switch to the right of 'Show on lock screen.'

Tap 'OK'.

Now your lock screen background image will be changed to the static image of Nothing.

A review article examining the camera performance of the iPhone (3a) Lite will be published at a later date.
