Mistral AI Announces Transcription AI 'Voxtral Mini Transcribe V2' and 'Voxtral Realtime'
Mistral AI, a French-based AI company, has announced the release of two transcription AIs: Voxtral Mini Transcribe V2 and Voxtral Realtime . Both support Japanese and are capable of high-speed, highly accurate transcription.

Voxtral Mini Transcribe V2 is an AI that can transcribe while identifying the speaker. The graph below shows the transcription accuracy of various AI models, with the horizontal axis representing cost and the vertical axis representing error rate. Voxtral Mini Transcribe V2 is capable of transcribing with higher accuracy than Gemini 2.5 Flash and GPT-4o mini transcribe, and is significantly cheaper than Scribe v2.

Voxtral Realtime is an AI designed for real-time transcription, with latency down to less than 200 milliseconds. Performance varies depending on the latency, and a latency setting of 2400 milliseconds achieves transcription accuracy close to that of Voxtral Mini Transcribe V2.
