Starlink doubles the high-speed data capacity of its mobile 'ROAM' plan from 50GB to 100GB, and once that's used up, it becomes unlimited at low speeds

The satellite internet service 'Starlink' offers a 'Home' plan for fixed addresses and a 'ROAM' plan for mobile use. The 'ROAM' plan, which previously offered high-speed data up to 50GB per month, has now doubled its capacity without changing the price.

ROAM is the perfect plan for those who frequently move between locations. You can read an article about using it below.

I tried using the 'Starlink' kit purchased at Costco with the contract plan 'ROAM' that can be used anywhere without changing the address, and tried using it outdoors by blocking the 5 GHz band, and a summary of the points to be concerned about, such as the billing mechanism - GIGAZINE

The ROAM plan is divided into two plans: 'ROAM 50GB' with a capacity limit and 'ROAM Unlimited' with unlimited capacity. Of these, the capacity of the ROAM 50GB has been doubled to 'ROAM 100GB.'

With ROAM 100GB, you can literally use up to 100GB of high-speed data per month. Even if you use up your data, you won't be unable to use the service; you'll be switched to an unlimited low-speed data service and be able to continue using it. With ROAM 50GB, once you reached the limit, you couldn't use the internet at all except for accessing your Starlink account, so this has also improved convenience. The price remains at 6,500 yen at the time of writing.

Starlink says it will notify you when your monthly data usage reaches 80% and 100%.

Additionally, data purchases in GB increments, which were previously available to ensure high-speed data communication, are no longer available with the ROAM plan.

You can check the article about using Starlink's 'Home' plan below. At the time of review, it was called 'RESIDENTIAL' instead of 'Home.'
