Google has announced that it will integrate Gemini into the iOS version of Chrome in September 2025. According to Google, access to Gemini will be gradually provided to users aged 18 or older residing in the United States at the time of writing in the latest version of iOS Chrome.

According to Google, once Gemini is available for iOS, the Google Lens icon on the left side of the address bar will be replaced with a Gemini icon. Tapping this icon will launch the 'Page Tools' and provide access to Google Lens and 'Ask Gemini.' The latter opens a floating window where you can chat with Gemini about the open web page or other topics.

Gemini in Chrome allows you to summarize the key points of an article, explain multiple topics in different ways, suggest recipes based on your food preferences, and compare information and make recommendations based on your preferences.

At the time of writing, it is not clear whether or when the iOS version of Chrome in Gemini will be available in Japan.
