Amazon announces four new Echo series products, including the smart speaker 'Echo Dot Max,' which delivers a new acoustic experience with three times the bass of the previous generation
On Wednesday, October 1, 2025, Amazon announced four new products in its Echo smart speaker lineup: Echo Dot Max, Echo Studio, Echo Show 8, and Echo Show 11. The Echo Dot Max is a completely new addition to the Echo series, with a completely redesigned internal design that delivers a new acoustic experience.

Echo Dot Max
The Echo Dot Max is a spherical smart speaker. While the previous Echo Dot (5th generation) was equipped with a single speaker, the new model employs a two-way speaker system that combines a high-performance woofer for rich, deep bass with a custom tweeter for clear highs, delivering approximately three times the bass. The internal design has been completely redesigned, and the audio system has also been revamped. The speaker module has been integrated directly into the device, creating more space for richer bass, resulting in the best acoustic performance in the Echo Dot series to date.
The size is 109mm wide x 109mm high, and it comes in three colors. This is the 'Echo Dot Max Glacier White.'

And then there's the Echo Dot Max Amethyst, which comes in a color variation similar to the classic Xperia.
The Echo Dot Max will be available in all colors for 14,980 yen (tax included) and is scheduled to be released on October 29, 2025.

◆Echo Studio
The Echo Studio is a 40% smaller model that retains the rich sound of its predecessor. It features a high-performance woofer and three full-range drivers to deliver an immersive audio experience. It also supports spatial audio technology and Dolby Atoms.
The size is 155mm wide x 147mm high, and it comes in one color: graphite.
When the microphone is off, the icon in the center lights up red, and you can easily switch it on and off manually.
The Echo Studio will cost 39,980 yen (tax included) and is scheduled to be released on October 29, 2025.
In addition, the Alexa Home Theater feature has been enhanced to coincide with the release of the Echo Dot Max and Echo Studio, allowing for a 5.1-channel sound system configuration, up from the previous 2.1-channel configuration. By combining five Echo Dot Max or Echo Studios with a Fire TV, you can easily create an immersive sound system.
◆Echo Show 8 & Echo Show 11
The 'Echo Show 8' and 'Echo Show 11' are smart displays with screen sizes of 8 inches and 11 inches, respectively. They feature front-mounted stereo speakers and woofers, delivering powerful spatial audio throughout the room. A dedicated stand will also be sold separately, with a color and design that matches the Echo Show and allows for comfortable operation at a comfortable angle.
The Echo Show 8 measures 131mm x 208mm, while the Echo Show 11 measures 166mm x 255mm, and both come in two colors: Glacier White and Graphite.
The Echo Show 8 will cost 34,980 yen (tax included) and is scheduled to be released on November 12, 2025.
The Echo Show 11 will cost 39,980 yen including tax and is also scheduled to be released on November 12, 2025.
