Adobe says the iOS Premiere app will feature a multi-track timeline with unlimited video, audio, and text layers, automatic captioning, 4K HDR support, one-tap export to TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram, and automatic content resizing for each platform.

Another major feature of Premiere for iOS is its built-in Adobe Firefly, which lets you instantly generate the video, images, and audio you need from text prompts. Generative sound effects, in particular, let you use text prompts and your own voice to accurately express the timing, emotion, and intonation you need. It also includes a new AI-generated narration feature based on your own voice.

Desktop Premiere Pro users will also be able to import projects and media created in the iOS version of Premiere Pro directly into Premiere Pro. This means users can shoot video on the go, edit it to some extent on their iPhone, and then fine-tune it at home on their PC. It's unclear what video and sound effects are available in the iOS version of Premiere Pro.

At the time of writing, Adobe has released Premiere Rush , a video editing app for iOS. While Premiere Rush is designed to allow users to easily and quickly edit short videos for social media, it is significantly limited in the number of assets and layers that can be imported, making it significantly different in usability from Premiere Pro, including its UI. According to Mike Polner, vice president of product marketing for creators, the new iOS version of Premiere is closer to Premiere Pro, offering 'professional-level creative control without pro-level complexity.' 9to5Mac , an Apple news site, reports that support for Premiere Rush will end on September 30, 2025.
At the time of writing, the iOS version of Premiere is available for pre-order on the App Store, and the Android version is currently in development, with the company saying, 'We're working to bring the great features of Premiere to Android devices in the future.'
