The B30A uses the same Blackwell architecture as the B300 , which is being developed as an integrated platform for next-generation AI factories, but since it has a single-die configuration rather than a dual-die configuration, its computing power is expected to be about half that of the B300.

While specifications have not been fully finalized, the company hopes to provide test samples to Chinese customers as early as September 2025, a person familiar with the matter told Reuters.

Due to the US's export restrictions on high-performance semiconductors to China, NVIDIA is exporting products with limited performance to China. The 'H20,' a Chinese version of the AI chip 'H100,' has become a popular product, shipping 1 million units in 2024 alone, the year exports began.

However, in 2025, the Chinese company DeepSeek released a large-scale language model called 'DeepSeek R1,' which showed that 'even in a situation where only low-performance AI chips are available (due to export restrictions imposed by the United States), it is possible to develop AI comparable to the cutting-edge models of American companies.' This led to a massive increase in demand for H20. The Trump administration even considered restricting exports of H20.

At first, it appeared that

the export restrictions could be circumvented thanks to a meeting between NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang and President Trump, but the US government eventually notified them that a license was required for exports of the H20. Nvidia, along with AMD, which also received similar restrictions, reportedly agreed to pay the government 15% of sales on semiconductor exports to China.

In addition to the newly revealed 'B30A,' NVIDIA is also preparing to offer a chip called 'RTX6000D,' which is expected to be cheaper than the H20.
