Manufacturers such as Acer, ASUS, Dell, Dynabook, Fujitsu, HP, Lenovo, and Positivo are selling laptops with Windows 11 SE, and Microsoft also released the Surface Laptop SE in 2021. The selling price in Japan started at 30,580 yen.

Regarding Chromebooks, which run Chrome OS, a competitor to Windows 11 SE, research firm Gartner warned in May 2024 that 'Chromebooks are losing market share due to a small customer base and poor quality.'
