◆ 'The Secret Palace' Synopsis
Miyazono Rion, who shares the same last name as Kanon Miyazono, a girl living a lonely life, appears before her. Rion introduces herself as an 'android' and makes a shocking confession to Kanon: 'I want to transfer my personality into an artificial intelligence (AI), become an android just like me, and marry me!'

Kanon initially rebelled strongly against Rinne, whose lonely but peaceful daily life had been upended, but after being drawn into her life by Rinne and spending a short time with her, she learned a deep secret about the two of them, and their feelings for each other became deeply connected. However, Kanon and Rinne's peaceful life together only lasted a few days.

Rinne is an android born irregularly, and has survived by using her abilities to protect humanity. Over 20 years ago, Rinne had to leave Earth for a project to prevent an asteroid from colliding with the Earth, and was separated from a loved one. The same fate will befall her once again.

When they first met, Kanon dismissed Rinne's confession that she wanted to become an AI just like her, calling it impossible. But now, in order to never let Rinne be alone again, Kanon has resolved to walk this path together with her.

However, Rinne rejected Kanon's confession and set off on her own. For Rinne, the most important thing was that Kanon was alive. The last thing Rinne saw of Kanon was her usual smiling face.

Five years have passed, and Rinne, who was a high school student at the time, has gone on to college, but Kanon still regrets the events that took place over those four days five years ago.

Time passes, and Rinne successfully completes her space mission. She returns to Earth over time so that she can be with Kanon once more.

Meanwhile, Kanon, who is waiting for the day she can be reunited with Rinne on Earth, is also making some preparations. What path has Kanon, who continues to regret the choice she made five years ago, chosen once again?

◆ Members-only material 'Subtitle Commentary'
The first six episodes of 'The Secret Palace' are a story in which the 'secrets' of the characters and the work are revealed, and from episode 7 onwards, the fate of the characters unfolds dramatically based on the secrets that have been revealed. For this reason, in order to change the atmosphere from episode 7 onwards, the subtitles are displayed in a different format than before, but we will explain their meaning and how they relate to the story.

The title of the first half of Episode 7 is ' Halcyon Day .' 'Halcyon Day' means 'calm and happy days,' but it is often used in the context of 'thinking about past, bygone days.' This English expression was chosen for the first half of Episode 7, as it depicts the last peaceful daily life spent by Kanon and Rinne, who are separated by fate.

' Cry for the moon ,' from the second half of episode 7, is an idiom used to mean 'wishing for the impossible' or 'wishing for something that doesn't exist,' referring to the idea of 'crying for the moon (no matter how much you cry, you can't get the moon).' This phrase was chosen because of the sad fate of Kanon and Rinne's wish to be together being impossible to realize, and the keyword 'moon,' which fits perfectly with the story's backdrop of space.

The ' star crossed ' used in the first half of Episode 8 is a literary expression referring to two people who are destined not to be together, and is known from the preface to Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. This expression was also chosen because it represents the relationship between Kanon and Rinne, while also fitting the keyword 'star.'

The subtitle for the second half of episode 8, ' A secret garden ,' literally means 'a secret flower garden,' and is close to the English origin of the title, 'Secret Palace Garden.' Additionally, the phrase is also used to express 'a special place hidden in one's heart,' making it a perfect subtitle for the final scene of the story.

We will continue to release exclusive advance releases at GSC, as well as revealing secret materials that reveal behind-the-scenes information and know-how, so please continue to support 'The Secret Palace Garden.'
