The attack was carried out by a joint group of Ukrainian cyber activity groups BO Team and the Ukrainian Cyber Alliance. The attack group attacked Gaskar Integration's network and server infrastructure, gaining access to more than 47 TB (terabytes) of technical information on the manufacture of Russian drones. After stealing the data, they destroyed more than 250 systems, including 46 virtual servers and more than 200 workstations, and erased the data on the servers along with 10 TB of backup materials.
The stolen information included technical documentation for Gaskar Integration's drone manufacturing, personal information of employees, and even data showing close cooperation between Russian drone manufacturers and China. All of this data was reportedly handed over to the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

The attack reportedly took down Gaskar Integration's intranet, production system, and accounting system, paralyzing operations at the development center, and blocking all doors at the drone production plant, forcing employees to use emergency exits.
Since Russia's military invasion of Ukraine in 2022, the two countries have been in a state of war until the time of writing. In this Russia-Ukraine war, drones have been actively used for reconnaissance and sabotage, and their destructive power relative to their manufacturing cost has attracted attention. Furthermore, advances in image recognition technology have led to the appearance of drones that can operate even when subjected to electronic signal jamming.
