A report on the entire Poppo-gai shopping arcade area of 'Machi Asobi vol.28,' where vacant stores in the shopping arcade were transformed into exhibition booths for anime original drawings and unreleased games.



Like previous

Machi Asobi events, Machi Asobi vol.28 will feature anime and game-related exhibits in vacant stores in the Poppo-gai Shopping Arcade near Tokushima Station. To give you an idea of what's on display and what the atmosphere is like, I went around and photographed all the exhibits in Poppo-gai Shopping Arcade.

The Poppo-gai shopping street is located on the west side of Tokushima Station.


The entrance to the Poppo-gai shopping street on the Tokushima Station side looks like this. It is sandwiched between Matsuya and 7-Eleven.



Go inside the shopping district.



The exhibit map looks like this. There are many vacant stores in the shopping arcade, but during the Machi Asobi event they will be turned into exhibition booths for anime and games.

So, let's take a look at the exhibits from start to finish. The first thing that catches your eye is Yostar's special booth for Mahjong Soul .



There are tablets inside the store where you can play Mahjong Soul.



When you play Mahjong Soul, you will receive stickers.



CyberConnect2 booth.



Hangers, towels and other items featuring the face of President Matsuyama Hiroshi, also known as Piroshi, are on sale.

Exhibition booth of the non-profit organization Anime Industry Innovation Council (ANiC).



At the ANiC exhibition booth, you can experience part of the 3DCG animation production process by using Unity. Details of the exhibition contents are summarized on the following page.

This is the exhibition venue for the 'TV Anime Oshi no Ko Museum in Tokushima.'

Poppo-gai Shopping Street is a multi-storey shopping street, with anime and game exhibits on the second floor as well.

Clover Lab , you can try out MYRIAD DEATH , which was released on March 25, 2025, as well as the game HoloReversi , which is currently in development.



HoloReversi is a new type of Reversi game featuring members of Hololive. The game screen looks like this.

Two PCs were provided so that you could play Dolls Nest.



Another interesting point is that, among the anime and game exhibits, the stores in the shopping district are open for business as usual.



In front of the coffee shop 'Tommy' there was a sign that read 'Welcome! Machi★Asobi vol.28'.
