"A Nightmare Machine" that AI automatically generates trick-or-treating horror images making full use of deep learning

Artificial intelligence (AI) that automatically generates horror images using deep learning algorithm that started from a simple question "Can AI scare humans?" Is "Nightmare Machine"is. What I developed was students and associate professors at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and I succeeded in generating photographs that seemed to have been possessed by grotesque ghosts more than I imagined.

On the top page of Nightmare Machine, a warning message "It contains horrible content" is displayed.

Two images automatically generated by Nightmare Machine are "Haunted Faces" and "Haunted Places".

Step 1 of "Haunted Faces" is this. State-of-the-art deep learningalgorithmIt is an image created making full use of.

The following image plus the element of "scared" in the image created in Step 1. Indeed, changes are added to individual images subtly.

Step 3 which added further changes seems to be a complete form.

Judging whether "Haunted Faces" created by Nightmare Machine is scary or not is said to be useful for improving the accuracy of the algorithm on the following page.

Subsequently, using the same algorithm, we learned about places with a terrible atmosphere such as "ghostly places" and processed the famous real existing realm as the theme style below.
