Huge Karakuri Watches like experimental instruments

The liquid moves in the combination of various glass tubes, and time is carved. Using the principle of siphon, it is interesting to just look at the movement of liquid. It looks like a device rather than a clock.

Details are as follows.
It was French physic chemist Bernard Gitton who made this. From 1979 he has actually made arts such as water clock, water calculator, fountain etc in science. This clock uses the principle of siphon, it is properly in minutes. However, it is up to 58 minutes to see and the remaining 2 minutes to reset the siphon. Although it lacks practicality as a clock, it may be good as an object.

The place where this watch is moving can be seen from the following.

It is said that 7 ft. (About 2 meters) high is 85 thousand dollars (about 989 thousand yen) and 35 feet (about 11 meters) it is 49 thousand dollars (about 57.6 million yen). There seems to be a real thing at the museum in Indianapolis, I would like to see it once ...

The following links are detailed on the design drawing of the watch and what kind of structure it is made.

In something using siphon's principle, there are also objects like the following. It seems to mimic the movement of the heart.
