The following is a report of a mysterious phenomenon by Mr. erkanasu posted on the MacRumors forum. Mr. erkanasu said that after using the ``13-inch MacBook Air Midnight Model with M3 Chip'' for more than 10 minutes in the middle of the night, he felt a rough, metallic taste in his mouth. Mr. erkanasu was using the MacBook Air on battery power without connecting it to a power source, and it seems that he felt the same strange taste even after restarting the MacBook Air. Of course, erkanasu isn't licking his MacBook Air with his tongue, he's just using it in a typical way.

Mr. erkanasu also owns a ``15-inch MacBook Air with M2 chip'' and ``16-inch MacBook Pro with M1 Max chip,'' but he says he has never felt any strange taste with those models. Also, although the ``13-inch MacBook Air silver model with M3 chip'' had a strange taste, the taste was about 80% weaker compared to the midnight model.

Furthermore, when I tried using a ``13-inch MacBook Air silver model equipped with M3 chip'' while wearing gloves, it became clear that I could not taste the taste. For these reasons, Mr. erkanasu suspects that the strange taste is due to the surface treatment of the MacBook Air, but the detailed cause is shrouded in mystery.

In addition, a few days after Mr. erkanasu's report, ``I have felt a metallic taste on MacBook Pro 2008 models and Dell notebook PCs'' and ``For Dell notebook PCs, disable Wi-Fi connection. 'When I switched to using a wired LAN connection, the

taste disappeared.'

Mr. erkanasu seems to have also reported the phenomenon to Apple, but at the time of writing, no detailed response from Apple has been reported.
